Debra Lear Schweitzer, of Pulaski, Wisconsin, passed away on September 29, 2025. She was born in Michigan and made Pulaski her home for the past 35 years.
Debra was married to Robert Schweitzer for 30 years, and together they built a full and loving family. She was a devoted mother to Aaron (Laura) Lear, Kyle (Sanice Boivin) Lear, Katherine (James Poore) Lear-Schweitzer, and the late Paul Lear. She was also a caring stepmother to Chris (Amanda) Schweitzer and Josh (Samantha) Schweitzer.
Her greatest joy was being “Grandma” to her 10 grandchildren: Henry, Lyla, Silas, Bennett, Olivia, Elvis, Emily, Zoey, Parker, and baby Lear.
Debra worked at the Pulaski Post Office for many years, where she was a familiar and friendly face to so many in the community. She loved spending summers in Michigan, swimming in the lake and camping with her family. Her passions included tending to her garden, bargain hunting, and, most of all, cherishing time with her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband Robert; her mother Andrea (Bob) Lear-Eis; her children and stepchildren; her beloved grandchildren; and her siblings, Tim Lear, Vance Lear, Vicky Leider, and Tigger (Jessica) Lear. She was “Auntie” to many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Paul Lear, her father Chester Lear, her grandmother Loretta Matelski, and her uncle Roger Matelski.
Debra will be remembered for her warmth, her love for family, and her joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
