Darrell V. Lancelle, Jr.

Darrell “Bubby” V. Lancelle Jr., 75, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 13, 2026.

Darrell was born in Tokyo, Japan on April 28, 1950 to Darrell V. Lancelle Sr. and MaBelle P. (Knox) Lancelle. He was a graduate of Green Bay West High School and the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Darrell proudly served as a postmaster with the United States Postal Service before retiring.

Outside of work, Darrell found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved playing and coaching baseball, fishing, playing cards, reading and spending time with those he cared about most including his dogs (Mickey, Chewie). He had a sharp mind for math and numbers, a great sense of humor, a love for history, and a fascination with science fiction that he enjoyed sharing with others. Above all, he cherished his family and the time he spent with them.

Darrell is survived by his beloved wife, Janine Lancelle; son, Mathew (Abby Jacobson) Lancelle; daughter, Angela (Drew) Loche; cherished grandchildren; Cameron, Gavin, Isla, Sophie, Mira, and Lucy; younger brother, Jeffrey Lancelle; younger sister, Saima Lancelle; younger sister, Deborah Lancelle-Gibbons; sister-in-law, Annette Lancelle and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Darrell and MaBelle Lancelle Sr; eldest sister, Kathleen Lancelle; younger brother, Gary Lancelle; younger brother, Michael Lancelle; and sister-in-law, Jeri Lancelle.

Darrell’s family would like to thank the remarkable staff at Autumn Embers Senior Living and Preceptor Home Health & Hospice for their quality care and compassion in his time of need.
