Dale Donald Quick

March 28, 1950 — August 23, 2025

Denmark, WI

Dale Donald Quick, 75, Denmark, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Saturday August 23rd, 2025, losing his battle against cancer.

Dale was born in West Bend, Wisconsin in March of 1950 to Walter and Jane (Homontowski) Quick. He attended McLane School and graduated from West Bend High School in 1969. Dale earned his Associate Degree in 1975 for Electrical Technology from the Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Dale was a thoughtful and loving man, marrying Karen Hoffman, on July 17, 1973, adopting her four children as his own.

Dale was hard working, taking pride in everything he did. Dale was drafted into the military in September of 1969. He served in the U.S. Army Security Agency until April 1972 where he was honorably discharged. Dale was awarded the Army Commendation Metal on January 19, 1972 for Meritorious Service in the Republic of Vietnam. The Citation with his award confirms Dale “consistently demonstrated exemplary professionalism and initiative in obtaining outstanding results. Specialist Quick’s loyalty, diligence and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.” Dale was very proud of his service.

Dale worked at numerous Television stations in Milwaukee as an Engineer. In 1975 he worked for WLUK TV in Green Bay, as a Remote Supervisor and Engineer. He was part of building the first “SCOOP” Camera in 1975. Dale was a part of the Bart Starr show, The Lindy Infante Show and the Brett Farve Show. Dale ended his career with Fox 6 in Milwaukee in 2016. His work ethic was unmatched, including his mechanical ingenuity and being an engineer at heart.

Dale wasn’t a very complicated man, liking the simple things: Oreos, gingersnaps, Pepsi and Diet Coke. He also enjoyed spending his free time tinkering with old computers and other electronics, watching TV and spending time with his dog Stella, his son Brian, and granddaughter Lily.

Survivors include his children, Jim & Chris Quick, Denmark; Chrissy & Dan Harvey, Manitowoc; Jerry Quick, St. Nazianz; Bob & Shelly Quick, Bellevue; and Brian & Michelle Quick, Denmark; his grandchildren, Joshua Quick, Danielle (Ricky) VanGheem, Eric Quick, Jordan (Alyssa) Quick, Lily, Isabella, Maxim, Ronan, and Walter Quick; and great-grandchildren Deagan, Dominic, and Madalynn VanGheem.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Jane Quick and his ex-wife Karen Quick.
