Dale John Geurts, age 77 passed away peacefully at home on the 14th of April 2026, with his wife and son at his bedside. He died as a result of complications of heart failure. Dale was born on the 12th of February 1949, and spent most of his childhood growing up in Bellevue. He graduated from Preble High School in 1967 and worked as a fencing contractor before starting a 33-year working career in the Industrial Insulation Trade. He was a proud Union Member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators Local No. 127 and spent the last 20 years working at Point Beach Nuclear Plant.
Dale married Annette, his soulmate and best friend, in 1986 and would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this September. Dale retired from the trade in 2009 and spent many years traveling, camping, gardening, hunting, fishing, golfing and all the fun things people do in retirement. Dale had a special fondness and bond with his three great grand godchildren Ellis, Grizzlee, and Sonny. Dale and Annette especially enjoyed the serene and natural setting of their 40-acre property on which they lived in Kewaunee County.
He is survived by his wife Annette Weissbach, his son Bryan (Brenda), sisters Donna (Ferdi) and Diane, and brothers Don and Duane. He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Evelyn (nee Verheyen) Geurts, and Patti (Don) Geurts, and many pet dogs and cats.
We wish to thank the nurses, CNAs, and staff at Moments Hospice who provided care and support to Dale during his last days. To honor his final wishes, in lieu of a funeral there will be a summertime Celebration of Life. He also asked that there please be no flowers and any monetary donations with condolences may be given to the Wisconsin Humane Society-Green Bay Campus.
