Christy Quintana (LeFebre)

July 29, 1964 — May 31, 2026

Christy Quintana (LeFebre), 61, of Suamico, Wisconsin passed peacefully on Sunday May 31, 2026. Christy was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 pancreatic cancer and passed within just a few weeks. She was surrounded by numerous loved ones in her final moments.

Christy was born on July 29th, 1964 in Menominee, MI to parents Sandra and Robert Wachal (Lueskow). She completed high school and spent most of her career working for Klein-Dickert Auto Glass. During her life, she shared many years of marriage with Steve Quintana and together they raised their family. In later years, she found companionship and happiness with Tim “Tex” LeFebre, whose love and support meant so much to her.

Christy was known for her kindness, humor, strength, generosity, and vivacious spirit. She was always on the go and lit up any room she walked into. She was warm, welcoming, and inclusive. Those who knew Christy will remember her for her lively personality and love for a good band performing outside on a summer day. She loved being a mother and a grandmother. She treasured the time she was able to spend with her two children and two grandsons. Every visit included a loaf of her famous banana bread.

Christy is survived by her loving significant other, Tim “Tex” LeFebre; her son Matt Quintana (Hanna); her daughter Selina Mathis (Evan), grandsons Lucas and Leo; her sisters Debra Myers (Don), Shirley Opsahl (Robert), Pamela Peterson, Rose Mary Strass, Brenda Griffith (Ward); brother Scott Fuelle and Robert Wachal Jr.; her nephews and nieces, Judy, Russell, Dillion, Scott, Clint, Jenny, Kyle, Michelle, Nicole, Richard, Jay; and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wachal; mother, Sandra Schultz; in-law, Robert Opshal; and nieces, Tracy DeCamp, and Samara Hobbs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the end of July 2026 and the obituary will be updated when details become available. In lieu of flowers, please bring photos or stories to share with the family.
