Chad C. Huffman

Chad C. Huffman, 70, passed away after a battle with cancer on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  

Chad was born to Vern & Beatrice Huffman in Michigan in 1952. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and was the youngest of 9 children.

Chad was a proud American and veteran. He served in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of FTG3. He served on the USS Davis and earned the National Defense Service Medal. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1975.

After his military service, Chad went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in History, and attended Nashotah House Theological Seminary for a period. He also worked and had a passion for electronics and circuitry. He loved reading, military fiction and documentaries, hockey, music (drums), electrical technology, his special rescue dog, and was an avid biblical scholar.

He is survived by his life partner Cheryl Kleckner, her 3 children and 4 grandchildren, as well as his 5 children: Joan (Chris), Evan, Jarrod, Charissa, Chatta; and 3 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Beatrice and Vern Huffman, 7 of his siblings, and 1 child of his partner, Cheryl. 

A small celebration of life and spreading of ashes will be held, according to his wishes, at a later date.
