Bonita Louise (Allen) Geurts

April 3, 1947 — July 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, yet cherished memories, we remember Bonita Louise Geurts (Allen), who passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the age of 78 near her hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Born on April 3, 1947, Bonnie, as she was affectionately known, lived a life filled with love, a deep appreciation for the beauty of creation, and an unwavering faith in her God, Jehovah.

Bonnie graduated from De Pere High school in 1965. She married Duane Bernard Geurts on July 30th, 1966 in Green Bay and shared 12 years together. As a devoted mother, Bonnie poured her heart into raising her four children: Rodney, Jody, Cory and Jessy. Her spirituality and nurturing qualities created a close-knit family, and she was blessed to have her children near her throughout her life, especially in her final days.

Bonnie's tireless work ethic and gentle way touched everyone who knew her. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—watching baby goats and sheep frolic for hours, tending to her garden, enjoying polka music, and singing kingdom melodies. Her love for animals and creation reflected her appreciation of God’s love shown through them.

Bonnie is survived by her 4 children; Rodney Geurts, Jody (Michael) Pingel, Cory (Ana) Geurts, Jessy (Leanna) Geurts. Grandchildren; Talya Magaurn, Brandon Magaurn, Esthefani Santoyo-Saldana Dombroski, and Landon Geurts—and her two precious great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Baumann, and brothers James Allen, Kevin Allen, and Russel (Sineenath) Allen, all whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin & Alice (Vandenbergh) Allen, and siblings Larry, Leslie, Cletus, Bob, Josie, and Gerilynn, whose memories she held close to her heart.

Bonnie was known for sharing her deep belief in Jehovah’s promises with kindness, conviction and spent much of her life and free time talking with people about Bible truths. She found great comfort and hope in the Bible’s words, particularly Revelation 21:3-4, which speaks of a future paradise on earth where sorrow, pain, and death will be no more. Bonnie looked forward to that time with eager anticipation.

Bonnie loved life and firmly believed that she would live again. What a wonderful time it will be to see her as God meant her to be, healthy, vibrant and full of life again.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the countless friends, family of faith, and relatives who filled Bonnie’s life with love through their visits, calls, and prayers. A special thank you goes to the compassionate nursing staff at Saint Mary’s and Saint Vincent’s Hospitals, Unity Hospice, and Kewaunee Health Services. Their kind and attentive care surrounded Bonnie with dignity and warmth in her final days. Thank you all for your support during this difficult time.

Please check back, as information about Bonnie’s memorial services will be available here, once they have been arranged.
