Bonita "Bonnie" J. Hackbarth

Bonita (Bonnie) Hackbarth, 79, of Clintonville, WI passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moment.

Bonnie was born in Milwaukee, Wi on November 9, 1947 to Carl and Violet ( Meisnest) Bertschinger. She married Roger Hackbarth April 18, 1966. in Milwaukee, WI. They had 3 children David, Lisa and Susan. Roger and Bonnie moved to Clintonville, WI when Roger retired.

Bonnie was a housewife while the kids were younger but as they grew she took on various part time work. She was a sales clerk, security guard and a bartender. She loved to horse around with the kids and their friends. What a beautiful woman, Bonnie, who could never be called Bonita, her original name or she would put you in a head lock (she loved her WWE). Bonnie loved her family in different ways, sometimes hard to show it but, she always wanted to fix what was broken instead of throwing it away! She shined so brightly through her personality. If she liked you, you knew it! If she didn't she was not shy about it! She had a kind gentle soul who just wanted to shine bright after she lost her life long soul mate! Family is hard concept and some times you never realize it until it's too late, she didn't want this for her family but you don't always get what you wish for. 

Bonnie was such a beautiful grandmother and mother in her own ways that you learn to appreciate what you have before it's gone. She had been patiently waiting 18 years before she was reunited with her soul mate, Roger, and god rest her soul she was finally reunited with her life long soul mate on 8/7/2026 at 3:33 PM, where her family was by her side to take her last breath.

Bonnie is survived by her 3 children, David (Cindy) Hackbarth, Lisa Lesko (Hackbarth) and Susan (Frank) Dettmann. Her 7 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jennifer, Stephanie, Angela, Ronald, Steven and Devon. Her 3 great grandchildren, Bella, Rey and Aiden.

The family would like to thank Thedacare Hospital nurses and Hospice for taking extra care in her. Simply Cremation for being patient with us.

The family decided not to have a service since all of the family was there when she passed and we all said our goodbyes beforehand. Bonnie will be cremated and then she will go home with her loved ones.
