Beverly Roth, 87, of Milwaukee, WI went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 15th, 2026.
Bev was born on October 4, 1938, in London, Ontario, to Fred and Norma Jones. Her parents later moved the family to Windsor, Ontario, where she attended elementary and high school, focusing her studies on Business Practice. While still in high school, Bev met her sweetheart, Howard, when they both took part in a school play—marking the beginning of a lifelong love story.
After a five-year courtship, Bev and Howard were married on October 10, 1959, beginning a remarkable 66-year marriage. Bev was a devoted and loving wife who cared deeply for Howard and stood faithfully by his side throughout their life together.
In their early years of marriage, Bev encouraged and supported Howard as he completed his education. Following his graduation, the family moved to the United States, where Bev embraced motherhood with warmth and resilience. She was a wonderful and dedicated mom to her four energetic sons—Mark, Alan, Randy, and David—skillfully navigating the busy and often hectic rhythms of family life. She also remained a loving and attentive presence in the life of her dear niece, Beth Ann, who lived, and continues to live, in Windsor, Ontario.
A job change for Howard brought the family to Milwaukee in 1976, establishing their roots in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Shortly after the move, Bev began her professional career, spending several years as an insurance claims adjustor with Employers Mutual. She made a lasting impact with a calm, capable presence that made a meaningful difference to those she served. During this time, she also formed lifelong friendships with colleagues who became especially meaningful to her.
After one more brief job transfer back to Michigan, Howard and Bev joyfully retired to Milwaukee in 1996, trading suburban life for the vibrancy of downtown living. Bev loved the energy of the city, and she and Howard became active members of St. Marcus Church. Bev contributed her time and enthusiasm to the church community, especially enjoying her involvement with the students of St. Marcus School.
Bev’s greatest joy was her family. She was blessed with wonderful daughters‑in‑law—Holly (Mark), Robyn (Alan), Monika (Randy), and Tami (David)—and was the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great‑grandmother of 17, cherishing each one deeply. Bev was a steadfast prayer warrior for her entire family, turning to prayer often—throughout the day and in every place—whenever she felt moved to talk with her Lord. Prayer was her way of staying closely connected to her loved ones, even as her growing family spread across the country. Bev knew and loved her Lord.
Outside of family life, Bev found peace and happiness in her walks along Lake Michigan, coffee at the Lakefront Colectivo, cheering on the Bucks and Brewers, and sharing her legendary lasagna with those she loved. Her food, traditions, and presence were at the heart of countless family gatherings and reunions.
Bev will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her unwavering devotion to her family, her quiet steadiness, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.
In honor of Bev’s love for reunions, especially Roth Reunions, a Celebration of Life and Reunion of Friends and Family is set for July 25th, at 10:00 (Visitaton with Family and Friends) and service starting at 11:00 AM at St. Marcus Church, 2215 North Palmer Street, Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcomed towards St. Marcus Lutheran Church and School, 2215 N Palmer Street, Milwaukee, WI.
