Arlie Lyle Geyer

May 4, 1945 — Oct 24, 2026

Green Bay, WI

Arlie Lyle Geyer passed away on October 24, 2026 in Green Bay Wisconsin, surrounded by family, after a brief illness. He was born May 4, 1945 in Minot, North Dakota, the fifth of seven boys, to William and Esther Geyer.

Arlie was united in marriage to Ronda Swensrud on August 29, 1963 in Minot, ND and relocated to Green Bay in 1969, with two small ones in tow. They raised three children on the west side of Green Bay where they could hear the crowd of Lambeau Field on Sundays. Arlie cherished his beloved wife of 53 years, Ronda, until her passing in October 2016.

Arlie was a hard worker, getting his first job at the age of 14 in a SuperValue grocery store in Minot. By the age of 18, he was the store manager. In Green Bay, Arlie was a leading sales rep for Nabisco foods for 30 years, but he never forgot to bring home his kid’s favorite cookies. In retirement, he was a cofounder of Land Unlimited Realty, selling properties “up north” in Marinette County.

Arlie was an outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing, and hunting. He and Ronda enjoyed traveling the U.S. and Europe together. He spent many hours at his grandchildren’s sporting events, and always watched the Badgers (go Bucky!). Arlie was also a member of Calvary Lutheran church for 40 years, where he enjoyed greeting people on Sundays.

Arlie was a strong, but loving man. He was firm in his values, but nonjudgemental. He was always moral, but also always humble. We will greatly miss this man who we called dad, grandpa, brother, and friend.

Surviving family members include his children: David (Renee) Geyer and their sons Zachary and Samuel; DeAnn (David) Brosman and their daughters Rachel and Olivia. Darrell (Natasha) Geyer and their children Katarina and Maxwell, and his brother Craig (Joan) Geyer.

Those that preceded him in death include his beloved wife Ronda; his parents William and Esther; and his brothers Gerald, Donald, Richard, James, and Ronald.

The family would like to thank those that helped care for Arlie: Terri Minor of Nicolet Highlands, Cornerstone Caregiving, Comfort Keepers Homecare, Green Bay Oncology, and St. Vincent Hospital.

Arlie received the ultimate gift of life when he received a kidney in 1991 from his loving brother Craig. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the “University of Wisconsin Foundation” with “Kidney Transplant Fund” on the check’s memo line, or contribute online at Make a Gift | University of Wisconsin Foundation. https://supportuw.org/go/yODjO
