Virginia (Ginny) Johnson

Virginia (Ginny) Sue Johnson, 71, of Ogdensburg peacefully passed away June 16th, 2021, from cancer. She was born October 19th, 1949, in New London, the daughter of Lois Cartwright Miller and Arnold Rohloff. She grew up in the Waupaca County area. Ginny loved her family and enjoyed every minute she spent with them. She loved thrifting, bargains, and rummage sales. Whenever she visited, she always had a bag of things to gift you. She frequented the Appleton area visiting her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She spent many days with her sister Sandy and brother Bill going out to eat, reminiscing, and watching movies. Ginny was married to Gary Elkins 1968-1982. She later married the love of her life, Duane (Peter) Johnson, in 1992. Together they resided in Ogdensburg. She is survived by her husband, Peter Johnson; her daughters and step sons: Teresa (Keith) Haen, Denise (Jim) Petit, Angie (Steve) Luedtke, Dean (Edna) Johnson, and David (Patricia) Johnson; and grandchildren: Holly (Andrew) Moran, David (Maribeth) Nehring, Bayli (Alex Nelson) Nehring, Rylee (Billy Toeppler) Petit, Zach Petit, Abby (Tony Diedrich) Luedtke, Alex (Grace Angotti) Luedtke, Ashley Luedtke, Kehly (Patrick) Igou, Devin Johnson, and Nevaeh Johnson; and great-grandchildren: Natalie, Cooper, Adelynn, Zander, Lucas, Ingrid, and Ulla. She is further survived by her sisters Marlene Hopfensperger, Sandra Penney, Ann (Bob) Dufield and her brothers Rick Rohloff and Bill Miller (Christine Snowden). She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Barbara Rosin; brothers: John E Miller and Gary Rohloff; and brother-in-law’s: Bobby Penney, Gilbert Rosin, and Ron Hopfensberger. A celebration of life is scheduled for July 18th from 11-4 at Weyauwega Community Park (411 W. High Street).
