Vicki L. (Sweet) Nelson, 65, of Kellnersville, passed away peacefully with family by her
side on Friday January 7, 2022 at ST. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. She was born on
January 30, 1956 in Iron Mountain, MI., daughter of the late Merle and Edna Sweet.
Vicki grew up and went to school in Kingsford, MI., she attended computer programming classes
at Lakeshore Technical College, also Vicki did volunteer research for, On Eternal Patrol, dedicated to all lost while serving in the U.S. Submarine Force. Vicki’s biggest passion was doing research on the computer to honor those who served in the military, and bringing their 1970 Blue Chevelle to car shows with her finance, Dan. She also enjoyed going to the library, reading books, drawing, crafting, cooking, telling funny jokes and having a good laugh, most of all computers, spending time visiting with family and friends. Vicki has two niece’s, that stayed close in touch with her Chanda Pena and Wendy McMullen, which she enjoyed dearly.
Vicki is survived by her fiance of forty-one years, Dan Wellner and five siblings, Barry Sweet, Shawn (Joyce) Sweet, Merle Sweet, Jack (Lisa) Sweet, Patty (Bob) Blome,and four niece’s Chanda (Nick) Pena, Nicole (Stephen) Sweet-Ragan, Sarah (David) Weed, Vicki Sweet and six nephew’s Joseph Sweet, Bob (Erin) Blome, Daniel (Lacey) Sweet, Chris (Charlotte) Sweet, Michael (Sarah) Sweet, David (Emi) Sweet. Vicki has Ten great niece’s and Ten great nephew’s and her extended family, Robert (Shirley) Wellner, David Wellner, Larry Wellner, Bonnie Wellner, Stanley (Lora) Wellner, Scott Wellner, Sarah (Paul) Schwoerer and brother-in-law Steven Ignera. She is also survived by several other niece’s, nephew’s, cousins, and many friends, including Vicki’s and Dan’s car show friends, that they got to know through out the years.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Arthur Sweet; and extended family Daisy Wellner, MaDonna Wellner, and Lori (Wellner) Ignera.
Vicki will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life memorial for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 21st, 2022. A grave side service and burial will be at 1pm at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Kellnersville, WI and the celebration of life to follow at 2pm, at the Kellnersville Park in Kellnersville, WI.
