Vanessa Joan Stone

Vanessa J. Stone, age 52 of Green Bay, began her journey to the spiritual world on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on June 16, 1968 in Shawano to the late Albert and Sadie (Spoon) Waupoose.

Vanessa graduated from Storefront Learning Center in Wausau. She attended Mount Senario College in Ladysmith to achieve some further education. She went on to work in housekeeping and several hotels through the years. Vanessa loved the outdoors especially biking. She also was an avid Packer fan.

Left to cherish Vanessa’s memory are her husband, Joslin Batiste-Skenandore; children, Victoria (Albert) Simonis, Brandon Stone and Shalena Messer; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Carter and Sophie Simonis; sisters, Anna (Lyle) Mustache, Louise (Gary) Varga, Sonia Petonquot, Victoria Waupoose and baby sister Hope Waupoose. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Waupoose.

A funeral service will be held for Vanessa at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Malcore Funeral Homes-West. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of St. Vincent Hospital 6th floor ICU for all the love and care they provided Vanessa during her stay.
