Tyler Lipp
OCONTO - Tyler James Lipp, 57, passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 11, 2021.
The son of Steve and Donna (Topel) Lipp was born on September 25, 1963 in Oconto, WI.
After graduating from OHS in 1981, Tyler served his country in the U.S. Army, both stateside and abroad for four years. After returning from the Army, he worked as a supervisor at AHP in Oconto Falls. He then worked over 15 years at Marinette Marine Shipyard.
Ty had a zest for life. In his youth, he loved playing outdoors; football in the yard, hockey on the Pensaukee River, and little league baseball for the Dairy Queen. As a young adult, he played softball for Woody’s, Bev’s, and Pirate’s Cove. Tyler enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandchildren, family, and many close friends. He had a great mental library of his life’s experiences from childhood and on. Sharing and debating the facts of those stories with family and friends brought them all great joy and endless laughter. Ty liked taking drives and appreciated Oconto’s Breakwater Park. He loved the Fourth of July and fireworks, although fireworks were good any time of year for Ty. He also liked camping and relished a relaxing bon fire, or a leisure game of golf. Known by his peers as “The Answer,” Ty was up for a game of cribbage anytime. In addition, he reveled in challenging, competitive games of ping pong and foosball. Ty had fervor for the Green Bay Packers, watching and coaching the game from anywhere. He was also a pet owner and enjoyed companionship from his dog, Jackie.
Tyler is survived by his sons, Jason Lipp and Tyler S. Lipp; grandchildren, Aiden and Beonca; siblings, Wendy (Rich) Dumke, Cindy Lipp (Doug Makos), Randy Lipp, Becky (Clark) Longsine, Julie Lipp (Jeff Beam), Stephanie Thome, Kristi Lipp, Cleve Lipp, Tina Lipp; and generations of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Donna Lipp, brother, Jody Lipp, and infant sister, Mary Beth Lipp.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Tyler at the Elks Club in Oconto on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 11am-2pm.
