Ronald W. Hertwig, 86, Green Bay, passed away on March 11, 2018. Born on December 17, 1931, in Oconto Falls, he is the son of the late Raymond and Myrene (Greenwood) Hertwig. Ron served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He married the former Louise Watkins on April 2, 1954, in Wichita Falls, TX, and she preceded him in death on February 27, 2015. Ron was an English teacher at various high schools in Green Bay until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and model building.
Ron is survived by two sons, Ronald (Rhonda) Hertwig, Jr., Honolulu, HI, and Joe (Tracy) Hertwig, Loveland, CO; two grandchildren, Kristin (Scott) Elson and Adria (Ryan) Jetton; one great granddaughter, Layla; three siblings, Jim, Joyce, and Sharon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and one brother, Lee Hertwig.
Private services will be held at a later date. Simply Cremation and Funerals assisted the family with cremation services, 431-0100.
