Richard "Rick" Paul Firgens aka Rickman, 53, of Suring actually Breed's East side passed away November 4th, 2021. Born to Richard "Dick" Firgens and Ethel nee Schuettpelz on January 14th, 1968. Rick was a 1986 graduate of Suring High School. He was baptized and confirmed as a Lutheran. Rick worked on the family farm and the original Firgens homestead. He was a gifted and skilled carpenter who helped build and remodel many homes. Farming was his great passion. He won the Outstanding State Farmers Award from FFA in 1985. Rick played football, basketball, ran track, and "farmer basketball" in high school. His love of sports continued to grow, you could always find him cheering on all the Wisconsin teams at Bonz Bar. Rick also enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially deer hunting with his buddies from the "Love Shack". Rick is survived by his Mother, Ethel Firgens; his son, Ryan Firgens; his sister Lisa (Jeff) Bloemers; his brother James "Jim" Firgens; his niece and Goddaughter Danielle (Nick) Collier and their children Blake and Brantley; his nephew Tim (Aubrey) Schroeder; and his Godson, Michael Booth. Also survived by his shotgun rider Marley, an Aunt and Uncles, many cousins and special friends whom he called family. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Dick Firgens; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Lenora Firgens; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Elsie Schuettpelz; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rick was a very humble man and lived a simple life with few needs or wants and always saw the positive side of things. He had a goofy sense of humor with quirky one liners that will be missed. There will be no formal funeral service, but rather a celebration of Rick's life on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 starting at 3 PM at the Breed Community Center.
