Patricia "Patty" Pirlot

September 13, 1949 — October 18, 2018

Patty Pirlot just took her last trip. Our Wild Wise Woman is now an Angel. She left this world Thursday, October 18, 2018. Momma was beautiful inside and out. She always made sure she made others happy. She would suffer in pain and never allow anyone to know. She was an amazing mentor in what to do and what not to do. She taught us many life lessons. She always treated people kindly whether they deserved it or not. Our hearts break at the loss, but thankful she is no longer suffering…mentally, physically, spiritually. My momma was my world and I will greatly miss her everyday. I love you with my heart & soul ~Kelly Pirlot-White

Stacy & Kelly her children would like to share what Patty’s grandchildren have to say. This really sums up what a beautiful woman she was.

She was always in my corner reassuring me “you’ve got this”. Her love and acceptance of me was unconditional. She was there when I needed it most, always with advice and understanding that brought levity thru some tough times for me. She always made sure I wasn’t alone. She was proud of me. The kind of gal who could make you laugh through the tears. She bought me a book “Fight-on” after I got separated; it will always be special to me. She wrote in it “To my beautiful Kendra, “Fly on”! Yes! Fight on” Always Grama Gus ~Kendra Merkling-Hartwig

When Grama and I went out people would say they could tell I was her granddaughter because of our style, big rings, earrings, fringe big purses. She was a very supportive and proud grandma. She told me the day before my last baby doctor appointment “you have her while you are up there, you come back with that baby. And I did. She laughed because she called it. A quote from : Richard J Foster “Falling asleep in prayer is no problem. You can rest in God’s Presence besides, next to the heart of God is a good place. A safe place for sleeping. ~ Karlee Merkling-Cryderman

Since I was a young girl, I’ve looked to Gram with pure admiration. She had a beautiful soul and a sharp wit to keep you on your toes and laughing. She dressed boldly, loved boldly and lived boldly – a beautiful example to live by. Remember her boundless love, her bad-to-the-bone attitude and her beautiful smile. Let her live on in our hearts through these memories and the sweet memories you’ve been lucky to share with her. I love you Gram. ~Rachel White

Energy never lies, it transfers. My grandma was a free spirit. She did not submit to the stipulations of society. She did not “fit in”. Her mind was progressive in that she accepted all people for what they had to say or what they accomplished, rather than their race or gender. I remember having talks with her about anything that came up in life; Whether it was girls, school, work or music. She always listened intently and would reply with her own advice or opinions. I believe her greatest accomplishment was raising my mother. Although there were tribulations she put on my mother while facing her own demons, she managed to raise a woman with an unmatched aptitude to love without condition. Mankind has always struggled with the affinity for immortality. I believe that the secret to immortality does not lie within the ability to live forever; rather the impact you have on this world. Her ability to love was passed down to my mother and I am sure many others. My mother in turn passed that same love to everyone she comes in contact with. Her love in turn directly passed to her children. This legacy of love will be forever within every interaction of her decedents’. Therefore, I believe that my grandma Patricia Pirlot has achieved a rare, positive immortality. I love you Grandma. I hope you finder your peace. ~Peter White

Instead of flowers or gifts of money, our mother would like people to donate to Planned Parenthood. You may do that online at plannedparenthood.org under Memorial Gifts. We believe this a meaningful gift to honor and commemorate the life and memory of Patricia Pirlot. Your memorial gift will help protect women’s health and rights.

I love you Mom. I could neither add nor take from what has been already said. ~Stacy & Lori Merkling
