Mary Peterson

Mary R. Peterson age 71 of Appleton, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, after a long struggle with dementia. She was born August 21, 1950, to the late Milo and Ruth Rollefson in Waupaca and married James Peterson on August 23, 1985, at a family members home.

Mary was an outdoors type of women who enjoyed spending time around the bon fire at the family cabin and taking ride with her husband on their motorcycle.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 36 years, James; by her children: Paul Rollefson; and Nicole Peterson; and by her grandchildren: Cathy Verhagen; Cheyanne Kabble; Isaiah Van Boxtel. She is further survived by her great grandchild Aiden Verhagen; and by her sister Sharon Schend; her brother Mike (Marnie) Rollefson; and sister-in-law Kathy (Tim) McDonald; as well as many other friends and family.

Mary was preceded in death by her stepfather Al Reek and nephew Jeff Schend.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Celebration Church, 400 3rd St, Menasha, Pastor Chris officiating. Lunch will be served at the church following the service.
