Lisa Anschutz

October 21, 1960 — June 20, 2021

Lisa Anschutz, 60, Forestville, through her faith and the grace of the Lord, gained her wings on June 20, 2021, after a brief illness. Lisa came into this world with an event worth remembering. Born October 21, 1960 in Sturgeon Bay, she is the daughter of the late Orville and Alice (O'Dean) Lemens. Determined to reach a Sturgeon Bay hospital, her mom discovered the bridge was out due to a boat hitting it. She asked a shoreman for assistance in crossing the channel which he gladly obliged getting her to the hospital in time for the delivery.

Lisa met the love of her life and best friend, Ed Anschutz. The couple were later married March 29, 1986 and the couple enjoyed 35 years together. Together they had four children and six grandchildren, which were the greatest joy of her life. Lisa had worked with Roundy's for 20 years, and later managing the Cherryland Shell Station and the last five years working with the Door County Co-op. Lisa enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, taking walks around the yard with her dog, Hoppy, but most of all, spending precious time with her family and grandchildren.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Ed; four children, Edward (fiancee Carrie Stenzel) Anschutz, Jr., Jamie (Mel) Lemens, Holly (fiance Brian Pallex) Anschutz, and Cassandra (special friend, Troy Combs) Anschutz; grandchildren, Morgan, Mason, Kaitlyn, Brylee, Ayden, and Harley; three brothers, Larry (Mary) Lemens, Leon (Mary Jo) Lemens, and Les Lemens; further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will take place at Holy Name of Mary Church (Maplewood) on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Visitation at noon and the service to follow at 2pm.

Lisa's family extends a very special thank you to all the many people who have reached out to our family during this difficult journey to aid and support both Lisa and her family.
