Julie Martin left her earthly body in the comforts of her home to be with her Savior Lord Jesus early morning of Saturday the 22nd of May after a long battle with end stage kidney disease and other complex health issues. She is happy to be reunited with her late grandmother, Della “Granny” Hoffman, late father, Harold Martin, and her late son, Michael Jolly. Julie was born in Neenah, WI and raised in Menasha, WI by her parents Harold and Janice Martin along with her older brother Jeffery Martin. She was a proud Blue Jay of Maplewood Middle School and Menasha High School. Julie held various positions but her work with the mentally ill and program manager for the chronically mentally ill was her passion. She had a heart for the downtrodden and a drive to volunteer. She loved volunteering her time with organizations like Christ the Rock and Pillars. Julie devoted her life to her savior Lord Jesus. She spent many hours preaching his word and attending her church Christ the Rock. She enjoyed spreading God’s love and redemption to those she would meet. Though Julie had many demons that she fought, she always believed Jesus was by her side. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3.16) Julie is survived by her mother Janice (Mayer) Martin, her daughter and son-in-law, Andrew and Amy (Jolly) Formanek and their three kids, Calvin, Nathan, and Olivia, her daughter-in-law Jenny (Kirchner) Jolly and two kids Emilee and Carson, her brother and his wife, Jeffery and Sue (Heisel) Martin, her very dear special friend Ronald Geise, and lastly her furry companion Prince Charming Martin. Julie, aka “Bob Garage”, enjoyed finding the humor in life and a passion for living it to the fullest. She had a love of great food, good music, general silliness, and a fondness for unicorns. She was an artist and used her talents to draw various pictures and paint murals for family members. The most memorable is the infamous bike trailer with the little mermaid painted on it that carried her children and nieces and nephews on long bike rides. She was a bit of a dare devil and could be found white water rafting, skiing, horseback riding, and lighting fireworks. She also enjoyed watching or chasing a great thunderstorm. There will be a visitation from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Christ The Rock Church in Menasha on Thursday, May 27th, immediately followed by a funeral service celebrating Julie's life at 6:00pm. Light refreshments and desserts will follow the service. Julie, and her family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her dear friend Ronald Geise for his all that he has done for Julie.
