John Thomas Ryan

February 9, 1966 — December 10, 2020

John is up in heaven now, eating cornflake cookies with his grandma (Verona Hickmann), watching the Packers with his dad (Lynne ‘Tom’ Ryan), solving all the worlds’ problems with his brother-n-law (Dennis Jacobs) and having a beer & cigar with two of his close buddies (John Mountford & Phil Dufek).
He will be dearly missed by his wife (Stacy Ryan), mom (Margie Ryan), sisters (Kris Ann Jacobs & Abby (Derek) Jeske), brother (Mark (Carla) Ryan), mother & father in-law (Don & Sandy Hansen), brothers in-law & sisters in-law (Peter & Chris Hansen and Chad & Jen Hansen), nieces & nephews (Christopher (Laura) Backhaus, Hope (Jayson) Lefky, Sydney Jacobs, Taylor Jacobs (Tony Sohns), Ryan Jeske, Katie Graybill, Logan Graybill, Noah Hansen, Ana Hansen, Amelia Hansen, Evelyn Hansen & Lillian Hansen), our great nephew (Asher Backhaus), our Colorado family (Amy & Shawn Graybill), his special aunt & uncle and Godmother (Willie & Elaine Zutz) and many other close aunts, uncles & cousins and an abundance of amazing friends.
He was dedicated to Stacy for 30 years, Jagemann Stamping Company for 32 years and dedicated to his friends. He inspired more people than he realized, and many shared their heartwarming stories with him the last few months; he made an impact on peoples’ lives without him even knowing.
He held a very special place in his heart for nieces & nephews and was so proud of them. He knew how to inspire, motivate and challenge people and he always knew how to pull the best out of you. You could ask him anything about anything and he’d always have the answer even though he was a man with few words; but the words he spoke just mattered. He loved simple things like happy hour on Friday nights, playing cards, shooting or golfing with his buddies, watching the Packers, quoting Seinfeld and Sunday Harley or Jeep rides with Stacy to find a good burger & beer. He also enjoyed Canada fishing weeks, Memorial Weekend golf trips, adult camping weekends and Tomahawk bike adventures.
He will always and forever be our hero who fought his absolute hardest. RYANSTRONG forever.
Thank you for all the love & support we received; we never felt alone.
A live (and recorded) virtual service will be held to honor John on Friday, December 18 at 5:00 pm. The link will be posted on Simply Cremation website, his CaringBridge site and Facebook. Condolences may be sent to PO Box 5487, De Pere WI 54115.

This link has four different videos for you to watch at your leisure. Perhaps you will shed a tear as well as smile or laugh but mostly we hope it allows you to feel & see what an amazing 54 years our fighter & our hero truly had. John had a fulfilling life and although it ended too soon we can be grateful for the memories we have with him & never forget him through our continued conversations reminiscing, laughing & crying.
