John Burda

John Edward Burda,71, passed away peacefully into his eternal rest on January 2, 2021 at his home in Maribel after a short battle with cancer. John was born on April 3, 1949 in Portage, Wisconsin. He graduated from Denmark High School in 1967. He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971. John married Nancy Jean Kuchenbecker in 1969.

After his honorable military discharge John and Nancy returned to Maribel. John worked for Manitowoc Company until his retirement in 2009.

John joined the American Legion Post 363 in Denmark, Wisconsin and became a very active and dedicated veteran serving both veterans and their community.

John is survived by his wife Nancy Jean of 51 years, three children, John(Tonya) Burda their children, Justin Burda and Bryce and Brooklyn (Christoph), Jennifer Brunner and a son-in-law, Ken Brunner, their children, Chris (April), Melanie (Jake), Megan and special friend Brandon, Tayton, and Grady, Jayson (Jenny) Burda, Bailey and Emma, and his four great grandchildren.

John is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Linda (Mike), Steve (Kim), Mike (Bonnie), Sue (Dennis), Terri, Doug (Rhonda). A sister-in-law Julie and a brother-in-law Bobby, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Nancy Burda and John and Helen DiBell, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ervin and Norma Kuchenbecker, one sister, Denise, two-brother-laws, Gene and Donnie, grandparents and numerous other relatives.

Memorial service will be held on January 16, 2021 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave, Denmark, Wisconsin, 54208. Visitation 9 am to 11:30 am, service to follow with Pastor Andrew Zoerb officiating. (Masks are required). Full military honors to follow the memorial service.
