Jeannette Marcusen

October 10, 1928 — December 15, 2018

Jeannette Marcusen (Blondheim), 90, fell asleep in death on December 15, 2018. Jeannette was born October 10, 1928 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Roy and Emma (Pansch) Blondheim. On March 13, 1948 Jeannette married Lloyd Marcusen of Wausaukee, WI. On June 3, 1972 along with Lloyd, Jeannette was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. They celebrated 60 years together before his death on July 18, 2008. Together they enjoyed camping and taking trips and wintering in Florida. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and sewing. Jeannette loved serving Jehovah God and it was her habit to share Bible truths any way she could, including writing letters to many in the local area. She made known her hope of living on a paradise earth where death will be no more. (Revelation 21:4) Jeannette stated many times just prior to her death “I’ve lived a long life, and a happy life.” Along with her, her family looks forward to the day when she will hear Christ’s voice and come out of her memorial tomb. (John 5:28) We take comfort knowing she is in Jehovah God’s loving memory.

Jeannette will be sadly missed by her children and spouses: Sheila (James) Vlies, Darrell (Judy) Marcusen, Gary (Linda) Marcusen, Karen (Bob) Glen, Richard (Lynn) Marcusen, Joan (Mike) Garsow and Gene (Sandy) Marcusen. Grandchildren: Ronald (Giselle) Vlies, Craig Vlies, Jennifer (Andrew) Andrews, Beth Ann (Matthias) Diefenbach, Michelle (Brian) Matuszak, Michael (Kathy) Marcusen, Laura (Kit) Vanden Heuvel, Troy (Terri) Marcusen, Rebecca (Bud) DuBois, Jessica (Paul) Bosdech, Tonya (Landon) Adank, Jessica (Evan) Glab, Michael (Shawna) Garsow, Rachel (Spencer) Wetten, Crystal (Zachary) Crofoot, and Kara Marcusen. Great grandchildren: Chloe and Carter Vlies, Victoria, Shane, and Jaeger Vlies, Olivia and Gabriela Andrews, Nathan and Melissa Diefenbach, Alex (HeeJu), Benjamin, Sarah, Joshua Matuszak, Reanna Hansen, Lindsey and Lydia Marcusen, Triston Richards and Zoey DuBois.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, and siblings Herbert, Florence, Geraldine “Tootie” Stutzman, Earl “Johnny”, Lorraine, Evelyn, Jerome “Pinky”, Betty and Benny Blondheim.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22 at East Green Bay Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2895 East Mason Street. Visitation is at 2:00 pm and memorial service at 3:00 pm.
