James J. Ryan

James J. Ryan, 86, De Pere, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at a local nursing home, after a courageous 7 year battle with dementia. He was born May 28, 1935 in Chicago, IL, son of the late James and Anna (St. Pierre) Ryan. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he toured on the USS Hornet CV 12. He married Grace Larson on November 7, 1959, in Chicago, IL. Jim worked for Sears as a Service Technician all his life, retiring in 1997. Jim enjoyed fishing, and loved to be outside in his yard taking great care of his land and property. Jim was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time at his cottage with family and friends.
