James "Jim" LeDuc

March 17, 1940 — January 16, 2020

James W. “Jim” LeDuc, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his home on January 16, 2020. Jim was born on March 17, 1940 to the late Claude Sr. and Rose (Gerlach) LeDuc in Marshalltown, Iowa. Jim graduated from Premontre High School in Green Bay, Class of 1958. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserves. Jim was a young entrepreneur who owned and operated LeDuc Oil Company for 30 years, distributing fuel oil to his many loyal customers, who became like family. After retiring from his business, he attended NWTC in the physical therapist assistant program and finished out his working years at the Oneida Casino.

Jim was a dedicated conservationist both respecting and cherishing the beauty and frailness of nature and the earth. He was a multi-talented handyman who could fix anything; no job was too small or too complicated for him to complete. He loved a challenge and there is a tool for any and every job on his organized workbench. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting and music events and was very proud of all their accomplishments.

Jim was a loving and devoted father, grandpa, son, and brother, who will be deeply missed by his children, Christopher LeDuc (Barbara), Oconomowoc, WI, and their daughter Alicia Santella (Doug); Ann Kohlbeck, Green Bay, WI and her daughters Rachel David, Naomi David; Amy (Jeff) VanBoxel, Green Bay, WI and their children, Maxwell, Hannah, and William VanBoxel; Eric LeDuc (Tamara), Green Bay, WI and their son, Parker; siblings Claude Jr (Lois); his twin brother Brad (Becky); Jack; Greg; Steve (Sue); Nancy; Jean (Terry) Hunt; Jeff, Doug (Ellen); his nieces and nephews, many extended family members and dear friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Rose LeDuc and his brother Thomas.
