James R. (Jim) Grignon II

November 6, 1966 — June 25, 2021

James R Grignon II (Jim) passed away June 25th with his loving wife and family by his side. Born on November 6, 1966, to James and Mary Jane Grignon in Menominee, Michigan. James lived his life in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was a huge Packer fan, as he grew up across the street from Lambeau Field. Jim met the love of his life Kerry 25 years ago and never left her side. They eventually married on November 19th, 2021. Happiest Day of our lives!
Jim and Kerry lived in Hobart, WI in the most beautiful serenity of the woods and wildlife. So peaceful for Jim in his months and weeks before passing. Jim was a hard worker and loved his job, as it was his passion. He worked for Conger Industry’s for 27 years. Cannot thank Conger enough for all their help and support through Jim’s sickness. He loved them like family.
Jim’s greatest passion in life was his boat Ocean Blue. Many great adventures and happy times on the water. Jim had many great memories made with all his boating friends over the years. These friends he loved dearly. Shipyard Marine was the center of a lot of these memories. Jim was grateful for their great service and all the fun at Andy’s party’s.
Jim is survived by his beautiful loving wife Kerry, stepsons, Nathan (Nichole) McDermid and Nicholas McDermid and his little loves, grandchildren Emerson and Beckett McDermid. They so loved their Grandpa Jim. Also survived by his mother, Mary Jane Grignon, brothers, Steve Grignon and Kevin Grignon, nephew and godson, Shawn Grignon. Special uncle Bob Grignon and wife Kathy. As well as many aunts, uncles
Jim was proceeded in death by his loving father James Grignon I and grandparents, John and Mary Grignon and Anthony and Mary Kopish. Father and Mother-in-law James and Carole Quimby. A brother-in-law John Quimby and grandson Noah Mcdermid. His furry best friends Tazz, Gomez, Maggie Mae, and Cinnamon.
All our loving thanks to the wonderful staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, especially Dr. Patel for his caring and compassion throughout Jim’s battle with cancer. Also, many thanks to the GI clinic and Dr Bosco. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts go to his wonderful cancer hospice team Jessica, Stephanie, Breanna, Alicen, and Amy. You all did so much for Jim.
Jim will be forever grateful for his special friends, Spencer, Joe Duester, Scott & Julie Frye, Bob & Tina Meyer, Mark & Kathy Stache, The Lamels (Fire Dancer), The Duggans, Dick & Jill Demath and all the Shipyard boaters.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held July 18th at Rock Garden (Comfort Suites 1951 Bond St, Green Bay, WI 54303) in the South Grand Ballroom from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. There will be appetizers served and entertainment to send Jim off by his wishes.
