Elizabeth "Betty" Peissig

Elizabeth (Betty) C. Peissig, 82, of Ephraim, WI passed away July 6, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Betty was born to Vendel and Julia Karaba, March 17, 1936, in Clark County, WI and was raised in Owen, WI. She married the love of her life, Duane (Duke) J. Peissig, June 8, 1957. In 1972 they moved to Sister Bay, WI. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage when Duke proceeded Betty in death in 2005.
Betty loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, baking, and birdwatching. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life including a true love for the land and nature. Betty impressed many with her green thumb. Her greatest joy was being in the company of her family while hearing the stories and laughter of those she loved so much.
She will be dearly missed by her four sons: Bruce (Laura) Peissig of Ellison Bay, WI, Brian (Lugene) Peissig of Eden Prairie, MN, Burt Peissig of Ephraim, WI, Bill (Amie) Peissig of Wausau, WI; her four granddaughters, Emily (Jason) Leist, Amanda (Ryan) Weisgerber, Sophia and Sadie Peissig; and her three great grand children, Griffin and Aubrey Weisgerber and Elouise Leist.
The family will gather in the near future for a private celebration of her beautiful life.
