Dennis Benoit

March 19, 1958 — January 17, 2022

Dennis Benoit, 63, Green Bay, passed peacefully on January 17, 2022, he was battling Huntington disease and was surrounded by loved ones in his final moments. He was born March 19, 1958, in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Benoit. Dennis married Amy LeCloux in 1996.

He was an avid sports guy and had a talent and love for cooking. Dennis also loved Mustangs, watching NASCAR, the Packers and the Brewers. His daughter and son meant the world to him.

Dennis is survived by two children, Becka Mertens, De Pere and Matthew Benoit, Sturgeon Bay; Stepsons, Travis Patza and Zachary Patza, Sturgeon Bay; Siblings, Catherine Morgans, Green Bay, Donald (fiancé Corrine Kaster) Benoit, Marinette, Scott Benoit, Marion, Steven (Connie) Benoit, De Pere, Michelle LeCloux, Sturgeon Bay; Sister-in-Law Pamela Benoit, Green Bay; Grandchildren, Regan Mertens and Kiera Winge; Nieces and Nephews, Angela Paul (Randy), Jessica Benoit, Nikki (Will) LaHaye, Paul (Veronica) Dax, Holly (Brian) Mier, Cory Benoit, Jake Benoit, Justin Benoit, Christopher LeCloux, Courtney LeCloux, Carly LeCloux, Rachel Konshak, Zachary Micoliczyk, and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father Joseph; Mother Dorothy; brother Charles, and brother-in-law Thomas Morgans, his maternal and paternal grandparents, many uncles and aunts and nephew Gary Micoliczyk.

The family would like to send thanks to the staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay for the wonderful care they provided to Dennis during his recent stay. Also, to Unity Hospice for the amazing kindness and grace they showed to Dennis and our family.

Friends may visit at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 29, 2022, at Tanum Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6102 County Road OO, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Peter officiating. Simply Cremation is assisting the family.

Donations made in lieu of flowers will be used to honor Dennis.
