Bobbie Jo Rondeau-Porter

January 28, 1950 — September 8, 2021

Bobbie Jo Rondeau-Porter passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 8, 2021 after a valiant battle with Type 1 diabetes for over 50 years. Her doctors said she “was a miracle” and she always told them “God is good.” She believed very strongly that her faith helped her get through so much for so long. God must have decided that she needed a rest and took her to Him while she slept.

Bobbie was very much loved by her devoted husband of 30 years, Gregory Porter; brothers Guy Rondeau, Eric Rondeau (Kristy); sister Darcey Magnuson (Dennis); niece Stacy Zieske (Brock); nephews Chad Magnuson (Serena), Ross Rondeau, Reed Rondeau (Summer); step-sons Anthony Porter, Gregory Porter Jr. (Madleine); as well as many aunts, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews, plus numerous friends and neighbors.

Bobbie was born in Marinette, WI on January 28, 1950 to Robert and Beverly Rondeau who both passed away in 2016. After graduating from Marinette High School in 1968, she began work as a dental assistant and followed that path in Green Bay until her health no longer allowed it. Bobbie was gifted with a beautiful voice and, during those years, was also a lead singer in several musical groups in the Green Bay area – one of them being part of a USO tour sent to Europe to sing for our troops in several countries. Later in her life, she became very active in her church and also sang as a soloist there for many years. She also became a successful Mary Kay Consultant, becoming a Sales Director, an honor and achievement of which she was very proud.

Bobbie loved spending time with family and friends as well as cooking and trying new recipes when she could; helping others in need and listened every day to her audio books filled with inspiration, motivation and hope. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She always wanted to look her very best – no matter how she was feeling. Bobbie lit up a room with her style and smile. She and Gregory were a very fashionable couple.

She was a kind, caring and loving woman, whose strength was always an inspiration to others. She was an Angel on this Earth and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be an upcoming celebration of her life in the near future.
