Betsy Kucera

June 5, 1958 — August 30, 2019

On August 30, 2019, embraced by loved ones and in the comfort of her home that she loved, Betsy Anne Kucera crossed over the rainbow; where bluebirds fly. Betsy, born June 2nd, 1958, fought courageously for nine years against the diagnosis of Breast Cancer. Although even as the battle was ending her biggest concern was the wellbeing of her family after she was gone.Through all of this she still managed to smile, laugh and was as stunningly beautiful as she always had been. She leaves behind many individuals who were drawn to her immense light and love, and who will dearly miss her as she is now in Heavenly peace with her mother, Moni.

Betsy and husband Arthur spent thirty three years together in a blissful marriage. Together, they loved being outdoors and worked hard to build a beautiful country home where they raised their two children in Oconto, WI. Together, they enjoyed countless memories of camping trips, boating, water and snow skiing. Betsy prided herself being adventurous in the kitchen to create gourmet meals from the wild game Arthur loved to hunt and fish. Their hearts will always be in the North, listening to the Loons at a cabin on the Cisco Chain in the UP and watching the sunsets on the beaches of Lake Superior in Cornucopia, WI.

Betsy was such a loving mother, she spent her first 11 years of motherhood as a stay at home mom. As her two children, Courtney and Cole, reached the ages that hobbies set in, Betsy selflessly returned to work to help support her family and their activities. For the next 17 years, Betsy worked as a paraprofessional in the Early Childhood classroom at Oconto Falls Elementary. It was here Betsy warmed many little hearts, held little hands and was their supportive mommy while theirs were away.

Betsy lived for her two children. She was at every motocross race and hunting/fishing trip cheering Cole on, and she was incredibly proud of him following his
father's footsteps and becoming a professional pilot at a very young age. She spent many late nights at the horse stable washing, polishing and packing and then many early mornings taking Courtney and her horse to shows all over Wisconsin. Betsy was honored that her love of horses instilled into Courtney and has become her lifelong passion to remember the close love they had together.

Betsy will be immensely missed and forever loved by all who have known her. A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family on a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please send other forms of condolences. Condolences can also be sent to www.simplycremationgb.com . Donations to the Oconto County Humane Society will be collected at the Celebration to be given as a gift from Betsy, who’s great love included animals in need.
