Barbara Monfort

Barbara Ann (Siebert) Monfort died on October 12, 2021 of pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 27, 1936 in rural Marion, Wisconsin to Henry and Clara (Culver) Siebert, the youngest of thirteen children. In 1941 she moved with her family to the Gillett area. Barbara met and married the love of her life, Freeman (Bud) Monfort in 1952. Together they raised four children while residing in Green Bay, Two Rivers, and Howard. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. In 1995 “Bobbie” and Bud retired and moved to Half Moon Lake near Crivitz, where they enjoyed living in the north woods for 21 years. In 2017 they moved to be nearer to family as Bud’s health declined. Barbara is survived by one son, Jeffrey (YooKyeong); three daughters, Connie (James) Baumgart, Vicki (Charles) Petersen, and Kristi Moore; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
