On Monday, January 24, 2022, we said goodbye to the best wife, mother and grandmother anyone could ask for, much too soon. Our beautiful Barbie passed away as peaceful as a flower, cuddled up with her adoring girls, Annie, Nicki and Peri, son-in-law Ben, and the love of her life, her husband Scott.
Barbara Ann was born on July 7, 1957 in Clintonville, WI to Howard and Shirley Hertz. She attended Clintonville High School and UW-Eau Claire, married her high school sweetheart and made our lives brighter for 64 years.
"Scooter and Babs" worked side-by-side at Laux Chiropractic Office for forty years. Barbie was the heart and soul of the office and could handle anything with a smile. Barb “Flower” as the girls affectionately called her, had it all and will be greatly missed.
Life's simplest pleasures brought joy to Barbie. You could find her lost in her flowers on a sunny day, camping with her Scottie, or all smiles hosting a sunset dinner for family and friends, a glass of wine in hand. For the past 3 years, Barbie’s absolute pride and joy was her grandson, Archie, who lit up her life.
We plan to honor and celebrate her life every single day, though a celebration will take place when her flowers are in bloom.
