Alger James Skinkis

Alger James Skinkis, 62, Suamico, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021. He was born July 10, 1959, in Milwaukee to the late Frank and Ethel (Wilber) Skinkis. Alger worked as a groundskeeper at Ft. Howard Cemetery in Green Bay. He loved dogs and spending time with his late son, Alex. Alger also cared for his younger brother and mother earlier in his life.
Survivors include his 3 siblings: Larry (Dianne) Skinkis; Valerie (Roger) Sanapaw; and Penelope (Patrick) Borman; one aunt, Robin Emmerton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and son, Alger was preceded in death by his long life companion, Jan Simmons; and 4 siblings: Sharon Wilber, Clair Wilber, Victoria McQuillin, and Jake Skinkis.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Heartland Hospice and Bay Harbor Assisted Living.
