Dorothy Diamond Anderson

May 11, 1924 — July 11, 2017

Free of the frailty of her final years, Dot Diamond is jigging again. She was born May 11, 1924 to John and Genevieve (Clancy) Diamond on their farm in Oneida and grew up in West De Pere. Upon graduation from Nicolet High School, Dot moved to Milwaukee and proudly became part of the work force that supported the troops in World War II. She married Donald Anderson on June 24, 1944. They raised six children and enjoyed 73 years of traveling life together. Dot loved a good game of bridge, tennis or golf and had fun downhill and cross-county skiing. She also enjoyed traveling to see her children and grandchildren in all the far-flung places they landed. She was passionate about donating blood and tutoring young readers, and volunteered for the Red Cross and Neenah schools for many years.

Celebrating her life are her husband Don; children, Jacqueline (Jim), Bellingham, WA; Judy (Galen), McCall, ID; Jeanne (Larry), Madison; Patty (Thomas), Uerikon, Switzerland; Cindy (Alfred), Negril, Jamaica and Greg (Shari), Appleton; one sister-in-law Betts Diamond; her grandchildren Matt, Jenny-Viva, Portia, Jaime, Iris, Wavey, Liam, Freddie, Molly, Irene, Kellen, Michael, Luke, Sean, Juniper, Sam and Katja; 14 great-grandchildren Claire, Rose, Adyn, Stella, Camryn, Simone, Penny, Lucinda, Rowyn, Weylin, Elissa, Clive, Mira and June; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Charly Rose and Autumn; her sisters, Pat, Gen and Ann; and brothers, Jack and Jim.

In accordance with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no picture, no service and no memorials. Dorothy and her family are grateful to her long-time friend Jewell O’Brien and all those who cared for her. Erin go Bragh.
