Andrea Joy Arntsen

August 24, 1947 — March 11, 2017

Andrea Joy Arntsen, 69, Green Bay Wisconsin, formerly of Washburn, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 11th, 2017. She was born August 24th, 1947 the daughter of John "Bud" & Lois Arntsen. Andrea graduated from Washburn High School in 1966. Later that year she married Peter Sytsma and they had two daughters, Tammy Sytsma and Terri (Ed) Lynch of Madison.

Andrea worked as a child care provider for many years creating lifelong bonds with the children she cared for. Andrea spent many winters on Jekyll Island, GA where she was an active tennis player. Her many friends on Jekyll will miss her deeply. She was well-known for her Snoopy collection, baking her cut-out cookies for her friends and family, biking and walking everywhere she went, and enjoying the Green Bay Parks System.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, three grandchildren, Carmen, Sam, and Luke Lynch; two brothers, William (Shirley) Arntsen and Jeffrey (Nancy) Arntsen; three sisters; Jacqueline Smith, Kristy Bobb, and Stephanie Arntsen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lee (JoAnne) Arntsen, brother in law Tim Bobb, and two nephews Jeff and Gregg Arntsen.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name. If you choose to contribute to the fund, send to Tammy Sytsma 301 S. Bedford St. #216 Madison WI 53704.

Family and friends can gather on March 25th, 2017 to celebrate Andrea’s life at the Green Bay Botanical Garden at 2:00 pm. Please join us.
